I am passionate about supporting you to live fully within the wisdom of your body.
As a clinician, I support those who have experienced a disconnection from their body due to sexual trauma, relational abuse, an eating disorder/disordered eating, and reproductive health trauma. I assist clients in coming home to their bodies through a multidisciplinary and personalized approach that relies on depth psychology, relational somatics, intersectional feminism, and mindfulness. I acknowledge that femme-identifying humans have a complex relationship with their bodies; my education honours that complexity.
I have studied Trauma Recovery at Harvard Medical School, Sex Therapy at the University of Guelph, and Eating Disorder Treatment at the University College London (UCL). Presently, I am enrolled in a Doctorate of Counselling Psychology & Psychotherapy.
I am a certified Compassionate Inquiry (CI), Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Focusing-Oriented Practitioner. I am completing the final portions of certification with the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counsellors and Therapists (ASECT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I am also trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion Freedom Technique (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) the Gottman Method and Hakomi.
Additionally, I meet the requirements to become a Registered Yoga Teacher with over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training experience and a member of the International Mindfulness Teacher Association with over 300 hours of meditation teacher training experience. Additionally, I was trained to deliver MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD (MAPS USA) and Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in a research setting.
